Genevieve Lehman
Genevieve has had an interest in natural healing all her life. She has a passion for horses and began riding competitively at the age of 13 beginning with western barrel racing and then later moving to English three day event. She noticed her horses would perform better and recover faster when they had a massage before and after competition. She soon incorporated Chiropractic care into her horses’ treatment plan and noticed a marked improvement in their performance consistency and well being. This strategy of care for her horses soon paid off as she began winning many competitions, ultimately becoming an alternate for the United States Equestrian Team in 1984. She distinguished herself during the Olympics by applying the same holistic treatment plan she used on her horses to her teammates horses.
Genevieve has since dedicated her life to natural healing, applying massage techniques she learned on horses to her friends. She applied to Mueller College of Holistic Studies massage program and graduated with a Massage Tech certification. She then began a three year apprenticeship with Heather Millard, H.H.P., learning advanced massage techniques such as neuro-muscular re-education, prenatal massage, deep tissue, and structural integration. Her study of massage piqued her interest in herbs. She studied western herbology at the Self Heal School in San Diego.
Being a long time dancer and her experience as a world class athlete has helped Genevieve tailor her treatments to her client’s individual needs. Genevieve continues her education in healing by incorporating clinical knowledge she acquires assisting in the acupuncture clinic. She plans on furthering her education, setting her sights on acupuncture college, preferably Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.
